Transgender Welfare Foundation – 4,000 Trees Planted in Delhi (2019–2025)

From 2019 to 2025, Transgender Welfare Foundation has taken significant steps toward combating environmental degradation by planting over 4,000 trees across various parts of UP, with a strong focus on underserved areas like Lucknow. This initiative is part of the Trust’s ongoing mission to promote environmental awareness and sustainable living in urban and semi-urban communities.

The tree plantation drives have included active participation from local residents, school children, volunteers, and environmental groups, helping to build a sense of shared responsibility for protecting nature. The Trust has focused on planting native species that support local biodiversity and adapt well to Delhi’s climate, such as neem, peepal, jamun, and amaltas.

These efforts not only contribute to improving air quality and reducing pollution, but also help create green spaces that provide shade, reduce heat, and enhance community well-being. Regular maintenance and follow-ups ensure high survival rates of the saplings.

By planting 4,000 trees over six years, Transgender Welfare Foundation is playing a vital role in greening Delhi and encouraging future generations to value and protect the environment. The Trust remains committed to expanding this impact in the years to come.
